Laser Beam's Uncertainty

I'm not dwelling on the Uncertainty Principle!

The TA showed us a laser beam aimmed at the board.
Then he narrowed the hole which the beam was passing through.

Then KaiLing and I stared at each other.
What we saw was this:

The smaller the hole, the more scattered the laser beam became.
We almost asked if we could take a photo with the laser beam machine.
